Being from New Zealand, Matt grew up eating this Commonwealth favorite. After moving to the US, he quickly realized that the delicious and humble meat pie was missing from the typical American diet.
In 2013 husband & wife team Matt and Tara started Mountain Pie CO, selling pies at Farmer’s Markets and events around Colorado Springs. The Mountain Pie brand fast started to become recognized, and customers began to know and trust the quality ingredients and consistently delectable taste of the Mountain Pie. Today, Mountain Pie CO runs and operates one of Colorado Spring’s only USDA inspected kitchens.

The ingredients we use are important to us.
We source all of our meat from Ranch Foods Direct, so it is all humanely raised, antibiotic & hormone free and locally sourced.
Our flour is an unbleached Colorado grown flour.
We use an all butter crust (you won't find any hydrogenated oils).
And we source our chiles from Musso Farms in Pueblo, Colorado!
